Go Green at Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

Chauncey Smith   |   23 Feb 2020

Spring is right around the corner, and that means we can begin to look forward to a big schedule of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations all around the Grand Strand! Everyone deserves an early spring getaway to Myrtle Beach, so pack your greenest outfits and check out some of these awesome St. Patrick’s Day events happening along the Grand Strand.

32nd Annual North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

North Myrtle Beach has hosted a huge St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival for over three decades, so this is sure to be one of the best spectacles to attend during the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day! The parade kicks off on Saturday, March 14th at 11 AM along Main Street in the heart of North Myrtle Beach. With crowds expected to reach 40,000, this is the largest gathering to celebrate Irish culture along the Grand Strand. Live Irish music will emanate from three different stages and over 150 vendors will be around to offer souvenirs, crafts and all sorts of food and drink. This is a family-friendly event that will feature a kids’ area with various amusements and rides. The festivities will continue until 4 PM, so plan on a full day of fun at the 32nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in North Myrtle Beach!

Luck of the Marshwalk

The Murrells Inlet Marshwalk will host a unique, scavenger hunt-style event on Tuesday, March 17th with the Luck of the Marshwalk celebration. The Marshwalk serves as a great spot to enjoy an all-day St. Patrick’s Day celebration, with a great assortment of bars and restaurants all situated together among the scenic Murrells Inlet coastal wetlands. As you hop between festive spots like Dead Dog Saloon, Wicked Tuna, Drunken Jack’s and Creek Ratz, you can collect special coins that will enter you in a drawing for a $1,000 prize awarded at the end of the night. The venues will be offering food and drink specials and live music, so you’ll have lots to enjoy while you collect your coins.

10th Annual Irish Fest at the Market Common

The Market Common is well known for hosting plenty of fun-filled festivals, and that tradition will continue on Saturday, March 14th as Irish Fest returns for its 10th year. The fest will last from 11 AM to 7 PM in Grand Park, and thousands of green-clad visitors will be entertained by great live music, dozens of unique craft vendors, delicious food options and, of course, a great selection of domestic and craft beers. Families are sure to have a great afternoon as well, with a large kids’ area featuring great activities and amusements. Dress up in your finest green attire and don’t miss the fun at the 10th Annual Irish Fest at the Market Common!
